Same-day: fixtures
Faucet, showerhead, toilet, mirror, lighting and hardware swaps are hours, not days. A full fixture refresh (all of the above) is typically one working day, and the bathroom stays usable that evening.
Half a day to a day: glass doors and vanities
A frameless shower door install is about half a day once the glass is measured and fabricated. Vanity replacement with plumbing reconnection is a day when the new unit matches the footprint.
Several days: tile
Tile is where bathrooms go offline. A shower surround or floor retile runs 3 to 5 working days including prep, setting, curing and grouting; rushing cure times is how tile fails, so beware anyone promising overnight tile.
Two to four weeks: full remodels
